Technique Tier List

Cursed Gear technique tier list

With 55+ techniques in Cursed Gear, knowing which ones are worth investing in is not obvious. This tier list cuts through the noise — ranked by DPS, real-world performance, ease of use, and mana efficiency. We only include techniques that have public evidence behind them. Unverified数值 do not make the list.

S

Top-tier techniques. Build your loadout around these.

Black Flash (分雷)

Burst Damage
DMG
Extremely High
CD
Medium
Mana
High

The most agreed-upon S-tier technique. Black Flash deals devastating damage in both PvE and PvP. Its special form, 分雷, pushes damage even further. The trade-off is high mana cost — not sustainable for continuous use, but dominates boss encounters.

Ideal for:Boss fights, PvP burst windows

Ten Strokes Curse

DoT + Control
DMG
High (continuous)
CD
Short
Mana
Medium

A highly stable technique that applies a stacking damage-over-time debuff while providing light control. Short cooldown makes it spammable, and mana cost stays reasonable. One of the best all-round picks in the current meta.

Ideal for:Expedition clearing, sustained fights

Domain Expansion

AoE Burst
DMG
Extreme
CD
Long
Mana
Very High

The flashiest and most visually spectacular technique in Cursed Gear. Domain Expansion delivers the highest burst damage in the game, but the combination of long cooldown and massive mana drain makes it a situational pick rather than a core ability.

Ideal for:Boss finisher, PvP knockout blow
A

Versatile workhorses. Strong in most situations.

Barriers

Control / Zone
DMG
Medium
CD
Short
Mana
Low

Creates a containment zone that traps enemies in place. Damage is modest, but the lockdown effect gives you a clean damage window. Particularly effective in PvP where crowd control wins fights.

Ideal for:Control builds, PvP anchoring

Konjac Torpedo

Buff
DMG
CD
Medium
Mana
Low

A pure buff technique that applies a short-duration stat boost to yourself. Does not deal damage directly, but the buff window meaningfully increases your total output in high-stakes content. More valuable in group play.

Ideal for:Support players, coordinated squads

BY Contrast

Burst Damage
DMG
High
CD
Medium
Mana
Medium

High damage per cast with significantly better mana efficiency than Black Flash. Not quite as explosive, but the sustainable damage profile makes it a reliable primary technique for most content.

Ideal for:General purpose, mana-conscious builds
B

Situational picks. Strong in specific contexts.

Reversal

Counter
DMG
Medium (on counter)
CD
Long
Mana
Medium

A counter-type technique that triggers a反击 when an enemy hits you. Raw damage is modest, but against bosses with predictable attack patterns, the counter-trigger rate makes effective DPS surprisingly competitive with A-tier.

Ideal for:Boss pattern matchups, defensive playstyles

Ruby / BY Reverse Next

Sustained Damage
DMG
Medium–High
CD
Medium
Mana
Medium

Ruby variants perform well in extended fights where you can maintain pressure. BY Reverse Next adds a stacking damage component that rewards sustained engagement over burst windows.

Ideal for:Attrition fights, PvP grinding
C

Early过渡 picks. Do not invest heavily.

Phase Shift (Blink)

Mobility
DMG
None / Low
CD
Short
Mana
Low

Core value is repositioning, not damage. Useful for map traversal or dodging specific attacks, but as a primary damage source, phase-shift techniques have too low DPS to be competitive in any serious content.

Ideal for:Early game movement only

Pure Control (No Damage)

Control
DMG
None
CD
Long
Mana
High

Effective in narrow PvP scenarios like holding a point, but in PvE content the lack of damage means you are spending a technique slot on a dead weight contribution to your team.

Ideal for:PvP point-hold tactics only

FAQ

How do I upgrade techniques?

Techniques are upgraded using Cursed Fragments, obtained primarily from expeditions and boss encounters.

What if my mana runs out constantly?

Early game mana is tight. Prioritize upgrading your mana pool attribute, or run low-mana-cost techniques like Konjac Torpedo as a bridge until you have better sustain.

Have techniques been nerfed in V0.83?

Cursed Gear is actively developed. Technique values shift between patches. We track official patch notes and update this list when changes are confirmed.

Which techniques should beginners avoid investing in?

Pure control techniques with no damage output are not recommended as primary picks for beginners. Phase-shift techniques are useful for movement but should not be your main damage source.
